User menu & app switcher

Two menus help you get around: your user menu at the bottom of the sidebar, and the app switcher at the top.

The user menu

Click the upward chevron next to your name at the bottom of the sidebar. The menu opens with your email address at the top, followed by What’s New, Help, a Theme selector, and Sign Out. Click anywhere outside it to close it.

What’s New

Click What’s New for a scrollable list of release notes, newest first, each with a version number, release date, and list of changes. Click the × in the top right to close it.

Getting help

• User Manual — opens the full manual in a new browser tab. Your SmartScope AI tab stays open.
• Keyboard Shortcuts — opens a quick reference of the available shortcuts.

Switching themes

The active theme is always highlighted, so you can see what’s selected at a glance.

Signing out

Click Sign Out — shown in red at the bottom of the menu — to end your session and return to the login page. Once you’re signed out, your browser’s back button won’t let you back in; you’ll need to log in again.

The app switcher

Click the app name, or the chevron next to it, at the top of the sidebar. It lists up to three recently opened apps, each with its icon, name, and type. The app you’re in is listed first with an amber checkmark, and apps without a custom icon show a circular initials avatar instead.

• Click any app in the list to switch to it. The sidebar updates to match.
• Click outside the dropdown to close it without switching.
• Click View All Apps at the bottom to go to the platform home page, showing every app you have access to.

Editing app branding

Admins also see an Edit App tab alongside Recently Opened. Click it to jump straight to Settings › Application for the app you’re in, where you can update its banner, icon, and name.
