SmartScope AI keeps the right people in the loop automatically. Here’s what triggers a notification, who gets it, and what to expect in your inbox.
Good to know
Most events send both an in-app alert and an email. Section approvals are the one exception — in-app only, no email.
What every notification includes
Email or in-app, every notification tells you what happened, who did it, and when — and links straight to the relevant procurement.
Come from DoNotReply and show your app’s name in a header banner, a short description of what happened, and an Open in SmartScope AI button.
Appear on the bell icon and take you to the same place when you click them.
Who gets notified for each event
Not everyone with access to a package hears about every change. Here’s the full breakdown.

| Submitted or resubmitted for review | All approvers. Admins and the author don’t get this one. |
| Reopened for review | Only the author. |
| Exceeds its review-time SLA | All approvers and the author. |
| New comment on a section | The comment’s recipient. Replies notify everyone in the thread. |
| Document approved | Only the document’s author. |
| Document rejected | Only the document’s author. |
| Section approved | Only the author — and in-app only. No email is sent. |
| Section rejected | Only the author. |
| Full package approved | Only the author. |
| Procurement archived | All approvers and the author, except whoever archived it. |
| Restored from Archive or Recycle Bin | All approvers and the author, except whoever restored it. |

Want more or fewer alerts? Go to Settings › Notifications to turn individual events on or off for in-app and email separately.
